April 29 Pricketts Fort Lecture Series: West Virginia Women in the Civil War by Dr. Connie Parks Rice Sunday 2 pm Dr. Rice is a Lecturer at WVU Department of History. She is the Assistant Editor of West Virginia History: A Journal of Regional Studies and a Member of the Governor’s West Virginia Sesquicentennial of the American Civil War Commission. Dr. Rice has done extensive research on Women and Blacks in Appalachia, the Border States, and the Upper South. Her lecture is free and open to the public.
