February 11, 2012:  Chocolate Day in downtown Fairmont.  Come join the merchants and others as free Chocolate will be served.  The Museum will be giving out homebaked Chocolate Chip Cookies from 10 - 2.  Main Street will be having door prizes. Chocolate Tasting Tour on Saturday, February 11 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The Grand Prize drawing will be for a Dinner for Two at CJ Maggies Restaurant and an overnight stay at the new Holiday Inn Express.  This package is worth $175. Also will raffle a large gift basket with gift items from each of the 17 businesses.

Businesses on the Tour are: Adams Office Supply, Main Street Shoppes – Perennial Floral, Friendly Furniture, The Marion County Historical Society, The Marion County Library, Firehouse Café, First Exchange Bank, BFS Liquor Outlet, Aspire Uniqueness Boutique, Noteworthy Sweets, The Fashion Scene, Marlena’s Accessories, Rider Pharmacy, Tuscan Sun Spa, CJ Maggies, Telephone Museum, and Watson Coins

Each business on the tour will be marked outside with a red, heart-shaped helium balloon. Community members are invited to stop by the 17 par­ticipating locations to enjoy sam­ples of different chocolate treats, from chocolate truffles and chocolate mousse to chocolate­covered popcorn and hot choco­late.
