2 p.m. History Alive portrayed by Joe Bundy as Martin Delany. Born in

Charles Town, Delany's family moved to Pennsylvania when his mother

was threatened with imprisonment for allowing her children to learn to

read and write. He was a leader in the anti-slavery movement and a

superintendent of the Underground Railroad. He co-edited an abolitionist

newspaper with Frederick Douglass and attended Harvard Medical College.

Delany was a recruiter for the U.S. Colored Troops and in 1865 became the

first black field officer when commissioned a major.

Spring Festival At Sagebrush Round-Up Country & Western Music (4:00 pm - 9:00 pm)

33rd  Annual Spring Festival at the Sagebrush Round-Up

The WV Country Music Hall of Fame & Museum Inc. is presenting its 33rd Annual Spring Festival on Saturday June 15. On Saturday the music will start at 4:00pm and last until about 10:30pm.

On Saturday doors will open at 3pm with music starting at 4pm.  The great music talented RONNIE McDOWELL will perform  at  8pm.  In addition to Ronnie McDowell we will be hosting  Julia Voris,  who holds 10 state fiddle championships!!!  Also appearing will be Maria Rose and Danny from RFD-TV!! And don’t forget the Round-Up Band!!!

Some of the highlights of Ronnie McDowell's career are; In 1977 Ronnie wrote and recorded a tribute song to the late great Elvis Presley titled " The King is Gone", other chart toppers "Older Women", "You're Gonna Ruin My Bad Reputation"," Watchin' Girls Go By", Personally", You Made A Wanted Man of Me", " All Tied Up" and "In A New York Minute".

The admission on this special Saturday is $25.00 at the Gate and $20.00 advance. Advance tickets are available are available any Saturday at the Sagebrush Round-Up and other locations in Clarksburg, Fairmont, Grafton and Oakland Md .

This production is the world premier of this new musical with book, lyrics and music by Katie Kring and Rob Hartmann.

An idealistic young vendor who just wants to sell her baked goods and homemade marshmallows is run out of the market by Mr. Buffalo and his cronies, who rule the market with an iron fist. The vendors (all known by the name of their products: Peaches, Honey, Curds, Chicken, Candles and Amish Jams) come together to fight injustice, form a new market, and bring produce to the people.

All performances are at Prickett's Fort State Park Amphitheatre at 8:00 PM
